J Team Code/Information

1. J Team is open to all children in the area regardless of religion, race and gender, they must be in primary’s 1 through 5. Children in the last 6 months of their pre school year will also be accepted from January.

2. All children must have an enrolment form completed by a parent/guardian.

3. Children must be accompanied to and from sessions & booked in & out by a responsible adult.

4. J Team sessions will be led by J Team leaders who are adults aged over 18 who have gone through the necessary child protection vetting procedures. As the club operates from St Jude's church premises we will adhere to the Roman Catholic Diocese of Glasgow’s child protection policies at all times.

5. Only children with a completed enrolment form & approved J Team leaders will be permitted in the hall during J Team sessions, no other adults or children.

6. All children to follow guidance of J Team leaders at all times.

7. J Team does not tolerate unacceptable behaviour or language, this includes unruly, disruptive or violent behaviour toward other children or leaders.

8. Parents/Guardians will be advised when children display unacceptable behaviour at sessions, if this behaviour interrupts the smooth running of sessions a time limit will be set for improvement, if the unacceptable behaviour continues the child will be refused admittance to sessions.

9. Each session will cost 50p.

10. J Team is run on a Monday FROM 5:30pm - 7:30pm.

11. Monday sessions will finish with toast and milk, no tuck will be on sale, children will not require any extra money.

12. As sessions may be arts & craft based please try not wear school uniform or good clothes, we will try and prevent damage by wearing aprons but sometimes damage can occur.

13. J Team is not responsible for damage to clothes or for any lost items, including money.

14. Children must not bring their own snacks or juice to J Team sessions.

15. No team colours at J Team sessions or events.

16. To encourage family life, whatever make up that family is, we will run events to allow family’s to socialise together, this will be known as J Team Family. There will be at least 6 family events each year, this will include a summer outing to the seaside and winter pantomime trip, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult to these events.

17. The J Team committee reserve the right to alter or cancel sessions or events at short notice, we will try in every instance to alert everyone of any changes.

18. The J Team Committee is elected in January each year at the AGM, the present committee elected January 2008.
